Teacup Dogs

Teacup dogs are the smallest breed of dog. They are recognized by most major kennel clubs as toy breed. There are many small dogs that are classified under the toy breed. Teacup dogs are all dogs that are shorter than 17 inches once they have passed 12 months of age. Some well known teacup dog breeds include pomeranians, maltese, poodles, chihuahuas, pugs, shih tzu, havanese, bichon frise, mini english bulldogs, shnauzer and many others.

Teacup dogs are highly sought after because of their size. They usually cost more than a regular sized dogs. Teacup dogs are protective dogs. They will attach to its owner right away because they need to be carried everywhere with their owner and don't like to be left alone at home. Teacup dogs will fit into family just great. They are usually playful dogs but can have a bad beahavior if not trained from an early age. Since they are small dogs sometimes they can get afraid of small children and other dogs. They can snap off and bark a lot. It's very important for a teacup to get proper training. Teacup dogs are not recommended for families with small children because they can easily be dropped and stepped on.

Teacup dogs can be hurt or injured easily and even killed if not handled properly. Teacup dogs are playful and people friendly. They are recommended for older people because of their energetic spirit and personality. These dogs were once owned only by the European nobelmen. They were a sign of rich and nobel. These small dogs were usually used as lap dogs or watch dogs. Today, almost everyone can own and afforf a teacup even though they cost more than a typical dog. Teacup dogs can be found in adaptation centres and rescue shelters. It is recommened to rescue a dog, if considering buying a teacup, you should visit a rescue shelter first. Teacup pomeranian and other teacup dogs can make awesome and amazing friends. They are lovely and sweet dogs with big hearts.
